How long has your company been in business?
Our business has been in operation for more than 40 years, we opened our retail store location in 2002.

What services do you offer?
We are a premium Building Material Solutions and Service Provider.

Describe your team in 3 words.
Safe, Engaged, Trustworthy.

What is your company’s greatest achievement?
Without a doubt our safety record, for more than 10 years we have operated in a hazardous environment with very little or no time loss injuries.

What are your business goals for the upcoming year?
Grow as a preferred service provider by continuing to invest in our training programs and value-added technologies.

How long have you been a MHBA member?
Proudly since 2002 as an associate member.

Why did you decide to join the MHBA?
Knowing the caliber of membership our hope was and still is to make connections within our industry whereby our team grows, learns, and shares best practices and industry knowledge.

What is the best part about being a MHBA member?
Connections, this is a warm, respectful, and supportive association. We are proud to be a member and plan to remain involved for years to come.

What is your favourite MHBA event?
We enjoy all the awards ceremonies, it is a lot of fun to celebrate together recognizing the wonderful accomplishments of the Builders and Renovators, each event is a unique experience that are well run and a top-notch affair!

How has being a MHBA member benefited your business?
The many scheduled events such as morning breakfast seminars, trade shows offering training and industry support are very valuable to us. We appreciate the role the MHBA takes on to advocate on the industries behalf, this brings National recognition to many of our shared challenges. We see each of these activities as professional development that might otherwise be unavailable to us if it was not for our membership in the association.

What is your favourite project that your company has done or service that you offer?
As a retailer we are fans of all our clients work so it would be hard to pick one, however helping Manitobans build communities for decades is a great source of pride for us.  A service we are especially proud of, is our internal quality control system called CHECK 5, this ensures safety, accuracy, and product salability for every customer we serve.

What advice would you give to a business just starting out in your industry?
We appreciate being asked, humbly we would recommend that a business leader carefully prepare a vision for their firm that ensures safety and dedicated processes focused on customer needs. Involve your customers and team in decisions, this way most challenges will be straight forward to solve, you are not alone, build trust by seeking others’ opinions often.

Anything else you would like to share about your company?
We are a skilled and diverse team dedicated to the building materials industry, we value every interaction with our customers, vendors, and industry associations like the MHBA.
