How long has your company been in business?
Origins date back to 1995, but the current iteration of Granite Mountain Stone Design
has been in operation since 2017.
What services do you offer?
Custom stone fabrication, tailor-made services for our vendors, broad stone product
offering for consumers, renown trustworthiness across the industry.
Describe your team in 3 words.
Professional, efficient, resourceful. It would be difficult to narrow it down to 10.
We’re proud of our team and their dedication.
How has the pandemic impacted your business and how have you adapted?
Pandemic has caused a lot of challenges and roadblocks. Supply and demand issues
forced us to seek strategic ways to become more resourceful. Lack of trade shows
and in-person connections urged us to redefine lines of communication and promotional
methods.
What is your company’s greatest achievement?
Surviving difficulties and uncertainty during the past two years has made us stronger,
more resilient and preppared for more challenges armed with an arsenal of knowledge
and new strengths.
What us your business goal for 2022?
To promote and attract more commercial work.
How long have you been a MHBA member & what type of membership?
We have been an associate member for 20 years! Since April 2002.
Why did you decide to join the MHBA?
To utilize build works and construction associations.
What is the best part about being a MHBA member?
Increased credibility and access to various projects.
What is your favourite MHBA event? Why?
Parade of Homes. It’s great to see the new local directions, state of the market,
and growth trends.
How has being an MHBA benefited your business?
Being a member gives us the confidence of being members of the industry elite that
people rely on and trust.
What is your favourite project (home build, renovation, design etc.) that your company
has done?
The projects that we are most proud of were very involving and took long time to
complete. Our favourites include the exterior of the Richardson Building and interior of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We stand behind our fabrication, we’re
happy when a customer is not only fully satisfied, but proud of the final result.
What advice would you give to a business just starting out in your industry?
Understand your customer’s needs and demands, assure customer expectations are
managed and be sure to not just deliver what you promise, but go beyond expectations.
Get ready for bumps in the road and strive to keep clientele satisfied. Customers are hard
to acquire, but remember that only those you look after will keep your business afloat.
Anything else you would like to share about your company?
We’re all passionate about the stone industry. We revel in customer’s enthusiasm to
accomplish the look their project demanded and deserved. We provide our expertise and
go the extra mile regardless of potential budget involved. No hard selling, just enthusiastic
professionalism at every step.
