The deep freeze we’ve experienced this past week makes it hard to believe, but spring is just around the corner and we are only four weeks away from the 2021 Spring Parade of Homes!

The Manitoba Home Builders’ Association’s Parade of Homes is the signature showcase event for Manitoba’s residential construction industry, providing Manitobans interested in building their new dream home an opportunity and experience unlike any other available in Canada.

The MHBA’s 2021 Spring Parade of Homes starts on Feb. 27 and runs until March 21. Our Parade show homes are located in many of Manitoba’s newest neighbourhoods and provide those looking to find their new dream home with an opportunity to learn about the latest trends in home and interior design, the hottest new home technology, and cutting-edge building materials and systems.

Manitoba’s Parade of Homes continues to be the biggest and best in Canada. This spring, there will be more than 100 unique new homes on display. When one considers that some of the larger events in other Canadian cities range around 30 display homes, having more than 100 different options available to visit — each one with its own layout, materials, finishes and designs — means our Parade gives Manitoba home buyers a unique opportunity to see and experience the widest variety of home building options free in an actual home setting.

There is no admission charge for the Parade of Homes. An opportunity and showcase of this scope and size is uniquely Manitoban.

This Spring Parade of Homes will have to be a bit different owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our builder members have put measures in place to make the visiting experience as safe as possible for their guests and staff. These measures are in place to ensure that anyone visiting our builders’ show homes is doing so as safely as possible.

Masks or face-coverings are required to be worn by anyone visiting a show home. All visitors will be required to answer pre-screening questions and to sanitize their hands upon entering a home. Show homes are frequently sanitized and access to show homes is limited to ensure proper social distancing takes place.

Show homes are available to visit by booking an appointment with the builder outside the Parade hours. These steps are being implemented to help ensure that your visit is as safe as possible.

In just four weeks, the best of the best of Manitoba’s new home construction will once again be on display. Look for the Spring Parade of Homes magazine in the Feb. 27 edition of the Free Press and at any Steinbach Credit Union. Our Parade of Homes magazine always contains great articles and features on the latest trends in home building and home design.

In the next few weeks you can also visit our Parade of Homes page at the MHBA website at homebuilders.mb.ca for more information on each of the Parade show home listings. And be sure to follow the MHBA on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for the latest news, to enter fun contests, and for featured show homes throughout the spring.

MHBA builders are looking forward to seeing you at this years’ Spring Parade and welcoming you to your new home.
