How long has your company been in business?
We have been in business since 2016.

What services do you offer?
IQ Safety Solutions offers a range of comprehensive safety consulting services, including the development and implementation of health and safety systems, processes, and programs.

We also offer fractional safety leadership, assistance with WSH Orders, incident investigations, subcontractor safety management, audits, customized training and health and safety tender completion.

What is your company’s greatest achievement?
Our greatest achievement lies in the remarkable organic growth of our company, fueled solely by positive referrals and recommendations from our clients. We are immensely grateful for their trust and confidence, and we remain dedicated to providing exceptional service that continually surpasses expectations.

What are your business goals for 2023?
Our primary business goal for the upcoming year is to expand our reach and provide our expertise and support to a wide range of organizations, aiming to enhance the safety performance of their workforce. At the same time, we want to grow our team by adding skilled safety professionals who share our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.  

How long have you been a MHBA member?
We have been an associate member for 2 years.

Why did you decide to join the MHBA?
We decided to join the MHBA because it aligns perfectly with our values as safety consultants. The association’s commitment to promoting and advancing safety within the residential construction industry resonates deeply with us.

Having worked closely with numerous MHBA members, we have witnessed firsthand the shared vision and common goal of members to prioritize the well-being of workers and create safer construction sites.

What is the best part about being a MHBA member?
As a member of MHBA, I’m exposed to valuable networking opportunities which allow me to connect with like-minded individuals and construction leaders.

What is your favourite MHBA event?
The MHBA Golf Tournament is a fantastic opportunity to unwind, enjoy a round of golf, soak up the pleasant weather, and, most importantly, have fun.

How has being an MHBA benefited your business?
By joining the MHBA, I am kept up to date on any developments in the residential construction industry, allowing me to provide relevant expert support to my clients through current knowledge and advice.

What is your favourite project that your company has done?
Our favourite project involved collaborating with the owner of a rapidly expanding construction company aiming to enhance its safety culture. They were grappling with a concerning frequency of incidents, persistent regulatory orders, and a high employee turnover that was affecting their profitability. In partnership with the owner, we devised strategies to tackle their critical high-risk issues and implemented a coaching, mentoring and accountability approach that resonated with the crews and supervisors. As a result, we achieved a remarkable reduction in workplace incidents and regulatory orders while simultaneously improving employee morale, boosting productivity, and enhancing employee retention.

What advice would you give to a business just starting out in your industry?
I would recommend building a strong safety knowledge foundation, gaining practical experience, networking with industry experts, and adapting to changing trends.
