Q2 ACTIVITIES RECAP
The Manitoba Home Builders’ Association and its members had a dynamic second quarter, packed with impactful events, industry recognition, and professional development opportunities. Spring Reception (April 17)
Held at the Club Regent Event Centre, our annual Spring Reception was a night to remember! With a record-breaking attendance of nearly 350 members, this disco-themed evening celebrated the success of the Spring Parade of Homes and recognized outstanding achievements in sales.

Renovation Awards Reception (May 9)
Hosted at the historic Fort Garry Hotel, the RenoMark Renovation of the Year Awards honoured excellence in home renovation. With 72 project entries from 15 talented MHBA RenoMark renovators, the night was a true celebration of innovation and craftsmanship.

Golf Tournament (May 21)
Over 300 members comprised of golfers and hole sponsors joined us across two courses (Elmhurst and Pine Ridge) for a fun-filled day of friendly competition. Every hole was sponsored by an MHBA member company, showcasing our vibrant and committed community.

Meet and Greet Reception (June 4)
Members gathered at the picturesque Assiniboine Park Pavilion for an evening of connection and celebration. We welcomed 18 new members and honoured long-time members with milestone awards, ranging from 5 to an incredible 45 years of membership!

Sales Agent Awards (April 17)

Building Science (April 9 – 10)
This two-part seminar equipped members with essential knowledge on building science as Manitoba advances toward energy-efficient and net-zero construction. Topics included building envelope performance, detailing complex areas, innovative design strategies, and high-performance materials—all with a focus on meeting evolving code requirements and integrating new technologies effectively.
Radon Mitigation (April 29)
This webinar provided an introductory overview of radon mitigation for Manitoba homebuilders looking to strengthen their knowledge in reducing radon levels in residential buildings. It covered the health risks associated with radon, best practices for mitigation, key construction considerations, and how to apply relevant guidelines from the National Building Code of Canada and provincial building codes.
