Great crowds, a multitude of exhibitors and excellent content from industry experts were found at this year’s Winnipeg Renovation Show. The show is the annual kickoff for Manitoba’s renovation season and this year’s edition was exceptional.
Last weekend at the RBC Convention Centre, the show provided those who attended with endless ideas on how to spruce up their home, or tackle that renovation project they’ve been planning. Renovations are big business in Manitoba, as we traditionally spend more on home renovations per capita than any other province.
Manitoba continues to be the only province where more money is spent on renovations than new home construction on a consistent basis.
The Lifestyle Stage and the Design Studio drew tremendous crowds to hear from industry experts such as Bryan Baeumler from HGTV, who provided great tips on how to take the frustration out of your renovation projects. Steinbach Credit Union showed how to properly plan and finance your home renovation project.
All Canadian Renovations’ Curtis Breslaw outlined key points for consumers on what they should look for when hiring a contractor, and Kelsey Kosman from Dollhouse Design presented great ways to incorporate the latest styles into your home on any budget. Throughout the weekend, an array of speakers provided the audience with great tips on entertaining, cooking and home design projects.
The entire slate of presenters provided attendees with valuable information and important tips to take home with them.
Based on the steady traffic seen at the Manitoba Home Builders’ Associations’ Ask a Renovator booth, many Manitobans are looking at doing renovation projects in 2018.
Our booth was staffed by professional MHBA RenoMark renovators who provided visitors with a free 15-minute consultation and answered questions about a wide variety of renovation projects.
Both “do-it-yourselfers” and those looking for a professional to help took advantage of the know-how and expertise provided by the best renovators in Manitoba.
If you weren’t able to visit this year’s Winnipeg Renovation Show, make sure you plan on attending the Winnipeg Home and Garden Show, which will run from April 5 to 8 at the RBC Convention Centre.
HGTV stars such as Todd Talbot of Love it or List it Vancouver; Kortney and Dave Wilson from Masters of Flip; Tiffany Pratt of Home to Win; and Green Force’s Carson Arthur, are just some of the speakers and celebrities you’ll find at this show. And of course, the Home and Garden show will be your next chance to visit the MHBA Ask a Renovator booth with all your renovation questions.
