Next Saturday, Manitoba’s best home builders will begin a four week showcase of more than 100 new show homes during the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association’s 2021 Fall Parade of Homes.

From Oct. 16 to Nov. 7, people will have the chance to see the newest trends in home building design and the latest fashions in home decorating. For those looking at buying a new home, the Parade of Homes is the perfect way to see the best in today’s new housing market. Not only does this year’s parade again feature show homes in many of Winnipeg’s newest neighbourhoods, there are also great show homes for viewing in Brandon, East St. Paul, Ritchot, Headingley, Oak Bluff, West St. Paul, La Salle, Stonewall and St. Adolphe.

Our builder members are continuing to ensure measures are in place once again to make the visiting experience as safe as possible for guests and their staff. Masks or face coverings will be required to be worn by anyone visiting a show home. All visitors will be required to answer pre-screening questions before entering a home, and proper sanitization and social distancing will be implemented. These requirements may make a visit take a bit longer or you may have to wait to enter a show home, but these steps are being done to help ensure your visit is as safe as possible and in accordance with Manitoba public health orders. If you are more comfortable taking a private look at your favourite show home, we encourage you to book a private viewing — this is an option available at all of the Parade show homes and can be set up by contacting the builder directly.

The MHBA event is also a chance to visit and explore the newest subdivisions and communities being developed right across the province. 25 communities are featured this fall, providing home seekers a wide variety of neighbourhood amenities and options. We also have entries that have been built in existing neighbourhoods that give visitors a great sense of the options available for those who are looking at building a new home in an older part of Winnipeg.

With changing tastes and lifestyles, our builders understand that a detached single-family home may not be the right fit for everyone. That’s why new condos are also an important feature of the Parade. Condos are a very attractive option for many potential new home buyers and our builders have entered six new condo show homes for you to visit.

Be sure to look for #PARADEOFHOMESMB and follow the MHBA on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as we will be featuring each of the 33 different MHBA builders who together are presenting more than 110 show homes. Look for the 2021 Fall Parade of Homes Magazine in your Free Press home delivery. You can also pick up a copy at any Steinbach Credit Union and it’s available at homebuilders.mb.ca.

Visiting the MHBA website will also provide you with more details on each show home being featured and connect you with your favourite show home’s builder.

You never know. You could just fall in love with one of the homes you see or a neighbourhood you visit and decide that a new home is right for you.
