Annual Chair’s Reception (2024)
The Manitoba Home Builders’ Association hosted its Annual Chair’s Reception on November 20, 2024, at Niakwa Country Club. The event centered around the recognition of MHBA’s rich history, its esteemed past and present leadership, and the sense of camaraderie prevalent within the MHBA community. In attendance were distinguished guests, including MHBA’s Past Chairs, current and former Board members, members of the Winnipeg City Council and numerous association members.
The MHBA expressed heartfelt gratitude to Spencer Curtis for his outstanding tenure as Chair of the Board of Directors over the past year. Spencer’s leadership and dedication to MHBA’s advocacy efforts at the federal, provincial, and local levels have been instrumental. From representing the MHBA at national meetings to championing Manitoba’s voice in residential construction issues, Spencer’s contributions have left a lasting impact.
Stepping into the role of Chairperson for the 2024-2025 term is Dave Eggerman, a dedicated MHBA Board member for nine years and a key figure on the Executive Committee for eight. Dave’s extensive experience includes serving as MHBA Treasurer from 2016 to 2022 and as Vice Chair for the past two years.
The MHBA’s Chair’s Reception once again proved to be another lovely evening filled with fantastic food and captivating music by the talented duo Andrew & Andrew. MHBA members enjoyed the opportunity to engage with peers, establish new connections, and strengthen professional relationships.
