Spring has officially arrived and that means it’s time for the 2018 version of the Winnipeg Home & Garden Show, which runs from April 5 to 8 at the RBC Convention Centre.

This show is a spring tradition in Winnipeg. Manitobans traditionally spend more on home renovations per capita than any other province and ours is the only province where more money is spent on renovations than new home construction on a consistent basis.

Winnipeg has some of the oldest housing stock in Canada.

According to the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation statistics, around 84 per cent of all homes in Winnipeg were built in 1990 or earlier. Almost 50 per cent of homes in Winnipeg were built before the 1970s.

No wonder home renovations are a very big part of our lifestyle.

The Winnipeg Home & Garden Show provides consumers with the chance to visit with hundreds of home and garden suppliers all under one roof. It is also unique in that it provides a one-stop venue for consumers to see, touch and feel what’s new and exciting in-home décor, interior and exterior designs, and home improvement ideas.

The Ask A Renovator booth will once again be staffed by professional Manitoba Home Builders’ Association RenoMark renovators who are available to answer your questions about an upgrade or renovation project you may be planning or dreaming about. These professional renovators can provide you with a free 15-minute consultation to help steer you in the right direction towards a new project for your home.

Just come to the show and you will be able to pick the brains of some of Manitoba’s finest renovators.

Whether you are a do-it-yourselfer or looking for a professional to help, the Ask A Renovator booth is the perfect starting point for your next renovation project. No matter how big or small, no matter if you’re committed to or just considering a project, make sure you start your next renovation project off on the right foot with professional advice.
