Ducks Unlimited of Canada
The MHBA is proud to partner with the Winnipeg Foundation and Ducks Unlimited Canada in offering an exceptional opportunity for inner-city schoolchildren.

This partnership will create an enduring Environmental Education Program for less advantaged children in Winnipeg. An investment of $ 10,000 is needed for each individual class, sponsors pledge $ 8,000 per class, the Winnipeg Foundation matches on a $ 1 to $ 4 basis, sponsors can "adopt" as many classes as they wish.

The MHBA is proud to be making this long term investment for our community and the environment.

Ducks Unlimited Canada, Canada's Conservation Company, is a private, non-profit, charitable organization that conserves, restores and manages wetlands and their associated habitats for North America's waterfowl, other wildlife and people.

This cutting edge, innovative program is the first of its kind in Canada. It is self-sufficient through a sustainable fund. It is built on Ducks Unlimited Canada's highly successful Adopt-A-Class program. Ducks Unlimited Canada is a leader for similar programs in other cities across Canada.

This program could be the only opportunity for some of these children in grade 4, to leave the community and have experiences other children might take for granted. This program is curriculum-based and is approved by School Division One. The program has in-class and outdoor experiential learning.

The MHBA will be confirming the adopted class in a school they wish to be partnered with.
